Metallurgy
Steel smelting is effected out in electric furnace ÄÑÏ −60. Steel casting is carried out by continuous casting machines into blooms and slabs and into forged bars. Special alloy steel is melted using ESR (electroslag refining) units. Sheet rolled iron is produced at «2000» thick sheet mill, rolled-section billets are made at «710» large range mill and «350» small range mill.
Press shops are equipped with presses of 1500, 2000 and 3000 tones.
forgings of different configuration are produced at sledge-hummers with a ping parts weight of 1—6 hydraulic presses of 450 and 700 tones.
There is equipment for all kinds of thermal and mechanical treatment including long sized and big diameter products.
Metallurgy products are made of structural, qualitative and high-quality steel according to standards GOSTs 380, 1050, 4553, 14959 and others. There is a possibility to produce forged multidiameter shafts for heavy machine engineering and cone surface shafts. Products are issued by small volume lots under individual orders and special requirements.

Since the year 1991 the metallurgy plant «Kamasteel» has been exporting different products:
• Hot rolled plate made of carbon steel (DIN 17100) with the dimensions as follows: thickness of 8—20 mm., width of 1500 mm., length of 3000—6000 mm.
• square billet for rebar made of carbon and alloyed steel with the cutting of 110—125 mm., length is not more than 4000 mm.
• Forged rods (forgings), mechanically and thermally treated, with a diameter of 200—460 mm., length of 3000—6000 mm. made of structural, carbon and alloyed steel: Ck 15; Ck 22N; Ck 45N; Ck 60N; S355J2G3N; 25CrMo4V; 42CrMo4V; 16 MnCr5G; 21 CrMo10, with a warranty for mechanical characteristics according to European standards.
Forged rods of carbon and alloyed steel have International certificates: DNV (Cert.# AMM—1441) Lloyd’s Register (Cert. MDOO/2599/0002/3) and U category.
