In 1981 120-mm trailed mortar 2S12 "Sanyi" was adopted. “Sanyi” is intended for annihilation of enemy manpower, armament and military equipment in the interests of batallion.
It is designed as a classical mortar model with a smoothbore barrel and double loading safety. It is loaded from muzzle part.
Mortar "Sanyi" consists of: 120-mm mortar 2B11, wheeled carrier, 2F510 transport vehicle
