Tank Guns

Test sample of 100-mm gun D-10 for the tank T-54 was developed in 1946, and in 1949 - beginning of serial manufacture of tanks with this gun. Till 1958 the gun of the tank T-54 has undergone a number of up-datins (D-10TS with one-axial stabilization, D-10T2S with two-axial stabilization). In 1957 the 122-mm tank gun M64T2 was developed. Since 1962 the plant have started to produce smoothbore 115-mm tank guns 2A20, having higher ballistic characteristics.
In 1974 the plant moved on to produce more powerful 125-mm tank guns 2A26M2, 2A46-1, 2A46-2. Since 1981 the plant have been manufacturing 125-mm tank gun 2A46M and 2A46M1 (mounted on tanks T-64, T-72, T-80 and their modifications), having increased (by 20-25%) accuracy characteristics (have maximum initial velocity and penetrating power of a shell) in comparison with the previous modifications and does not concede to analogues of western countries.
The tank gun 2A46M1 can be used to fit various tank types, can be operated under outmost climatic conditions, and is intended to destruct with tanks, self-propelled mounts and other armoured targets, to suppress and destroy hostile artillery and manpower.
