Universal Pillbox "Gorchak"
UP «Gorchak» was developed and manufactured in 1996.
UP is intended for equiping fortified and frontier areas, block-posts, protection of vital facilities. It has an armoured protection and improved conditions for the crew, provides new property — the capability of creation of defence system without significant loss of time, and also dislocation by automobile or railway transport. To deliver fire the cover with the weapon unit rises above the ground level, while the crew remains inside the fighting compartment providing remote-controlled fire.
The pillbox is capable to combat effectively with:
- exposed, sheltered and entrenched hostile manpower at a distance up to 2000 m,
- lightly armoured targets at a distance up to 2000m,
- tanks at a distance from 70 up to 4000 m,
- attacking aircrafts and helicopters at a distance up to 1500 m.
