Thanks to our high-qualified specialists we have gathered experience in setting up, adjustment, repair and maintenance of weapons and military equipment of high and middle complexity in operating conditions (troop units) in Russia and abroad.
Today our military production manufactures the cutting edge pieces of tube artillery and multiple-launch rocket systems. Such military machines as self-propelled artillery vehicles «Vienna», multiple rocket launcher «Smerch» — these machines developed and manufactured by Motovilikha Works make fame of Russian defense industry.
Our production capacities guarantee the highest quality of military equipment — to begin with manufacturing of special steel and up to series assembly of unique military equipment having no analogues in the world.
With the use of our metallurgic equipment we can smelt nickel-chrome-molybdenum steel distinguished by high purity. Radial forging machine allows to produce gun tubes with necessary geometrics, including boring while forging.
Annealing operating practices in special furnaces allow to achieve necessary metal structure of blanks.
We achieve given mechanical properties thanks to use of heat strengthening. This makes possible to use the products in wide temperature range.
High-precise machining based on active geometrics control (thickness variation, bore straightness and deflected mode of workpiece) at all stages of technological process.
Machining of barrels and parts of artillery equipment — breech rings, scotchers, cylinders — is carried out on the special, high capacity and precise equipment, connected into joint production lines and automatized complexes. It allows us to produce barrels with 45 — 250 mm (1,8 — 9,8 in) caliber and up to 10 m (32,8 ft) length.
We check thoroughly all production stages from metal smelting up to product acceptance. We also control the operation sequence according to given technology and developed quality control system. Fully automatized laboratories of special control of parameter and characteristics of barrels, breech rings, scotchers, cylinders and other types of artillery equipment ensures meeting the quality requirements of international standards.
Being an active armament market participant OJSC «Motovilikhonskiye Zavody» keeps track of development tendencies as well as special features of warfighting tactics in modern conditions.
