Motovilikha got the quality certificate by American Bureau of Shipping

American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) certified metallurgical production of Motovilikhinskiye Zavody. The certificate proves that forgings manufactured by the company conform to requirements of the shipbuilding industry.

This certification is a part of the program of strategic development of metallurgical production in the expensive and complex steels. Having this certificate, which is granted to the leading metallurgic companies, Motovilikha will be able to increase export of its forgings to the USA, as well as to the Scandinavian countries, where ships ordered by the American companies are built. 2011 it is planned to increase forgings export to Finland in 1,5 times.

ABS inspectors visited the plant in September. They studied the plant organization, control and testing processes of LLC LLC MZ Kamastal (subsidiary of JSC Motovilikhinskiye Zavody). Audit had shown that the manufacturing process complies to the requirements of ABS. Certificate is valid for 5 years.

At the moment Kamastal has certificates of several international organizations. Quality of the exported metallurgical products to the European countries is proven by the following international certificates: marine «Lloyd’s Register» (Great Britain) and DNV (Norway) and construction "SLV"-"U" (Germany).

American Bureau of Shipping is one of the largest international certification organizations. ABS is the member of International Association of Classification Societies. ABS checks building, repair and operation of sea ships and deals with classification and inspection of the ships on the compliance to the maritime safety requirements
